1) Is the process environmentally friendly?
Absolutely! By using a self-contained, filtered to 20 micros water system, there is little wasted water. Hot water plus our high powered rotary cleaning head with an environmentally safe sanitizer, your bins come out clean, deodorized and sanitized with 75% less water usage then trying to do them at home. Water is a valuable resource and we believe daily recycling of water is the responsible thing to do. We start each day with a fresh tank .
2) Where is the service provided?
It is provided right on the street where you left your bins for garbage collection. Your bins are lifted into our self-contained trailer unit – leaving no traces of yuck on your property.
3) Does someone need to be home when Brilliant Bins arrive?
Absolutely not! It is no different than how the garbage collection works.
4) Can you remove gum, paint, tar, oils or other permanent items/stains?
Gum, paint, tar, oils or other adhesives are extremely difficult to remove and may not come off. Bins that have not been washed regularly may need multiple cleanings to achieve their best potential. Older bins often still have that “worn in look“ but will be clean.
5) Do I have to sign up all of my bins for cleaning?
Not at all – we offer the option to have one or both bins cleaned one single time or should you prefer multiple times. You cannot however switch or alternate your bins. Eg. You cannot sign up for a single bin to be cleaned twice and on the first visit have your organic bin cleaned and on the second visit have your garbage bin cleaned.
6) Can I can cancel my service plan?
You may cancel your service only if you move out of our service area. Should you change residences – please advise us 2 weeks prior to your next scheduled cleaning.
7) Can I change my service plan?
You may – should you add extra cleaning dates a new invoice will be emailed out for the difference owing. Should you remove a scheduled cleaning an invoice will be emailed out showing the new rate and the amount of credit that will remain on your account. No refunds will be given.
8) How do I order service?
Please complete the order form in full on our Book Now page. Should we have any questions, we will be in contact. If not, a copy of your request will be emailed to you and we will contact you within 48 hours of weekday business hours to confirm your bin cleaning and an invoice will follow.
9) How do I pay?
Once we receive your order service request and all details have been verified we will email a confirmation email and invoice. Ideally payment is made by email transfer, however you will have the option of paying online with Mastercard or Visa on a secured site or should you prefer to give a credit card over the phone. Cash is also accepted. Payment must be made prior to first scheduled service.
10) If I stop you while driving by or while doing someone else`s bin and ask you to do mine, will you?
Very likely… we will do our best to accommodate your request, please ask!
11) What if I have a group of neighbours who all want their bins cleaned?
No worries, we have special group rates. Contact us for details.
12) What if my cleaning day was yesterday but I don’t want to wait till your next visit?
In most situations we will be able to accomadate. You bins must remain empty and visible. There will be a $5 surchage.
13) Who owns Brilliant Bins?
We are a partnership of two friends who have know each other for over 20 years. Both grew up in Westlock and now live closer to the big city. The idea came to them after a visit to Kelowna in the summer of 2016. We ask that you Support Local.
